What You'll Be DoingAs an Apprentice Payroll Administrator, you will receive structured training while supporting the delivery of payroll services for a wide range of clients. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for client businesses
- Calculating and apportioning gross pay
- Learning National Minimum Wage rules
- Understanding National Insurance and PAYE tax calculations
- Helping prepare statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
- Supporting the administration of pension deductions and automatic enrolment
- Assisting with year-end payroll processes and statutory reporting
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records
- Providing friendly and professional client support
- Working closely with senior payroll staff to learn end-to-end payroll processes
Full training will be provided, and responsibilities will grow as your competence develops.
Training & QualificationYou will be enrolled in the CIPP Level 3 Payroll Technician Certificate, a 26-week online qualification covering:
