We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Cross-Border Tax Accountant to support clients with UK and Republic of Ireland tax compliance and advisory work. This role is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of Irish tax who is confident handling cross-border issues and enjoys working with a varied client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver Irish (ROI) tax compliance for a portfolio of clients
- Advise on cross-border tax matters between the UK and Republic of Ireland
- Handle Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) compliance and advisory
- Manage VAT registrations, filings, and cross-border VAT issues
- Support clients with Irish company formations and ongoing compliance
- Work with UK-based team members on dual-jurisdiction cases
- Provide tax-efficient structuring advice for businesses operating across both jurisdictions
- Liaise with Irish Revenue where required
- Keep up to date with changes in Irish and UK tax legislation
Requirements
- Strong practical experience in Republic of Ireland tax
- Strong practice experience in UK tax
- Familiarity with cross border payroll or employment taxes
- Solid understanding of:
- RCT (Relevant Contracts Tax)
- Irish VAT (including cross-border VAT issues)
- Irish limited companies and compliance requirements
- Cross-border UK/ROI tax matters
