Semi-Senior Accountant – Part Qualified

We are working with a well-established firm with nearly 40 years of trusted service in South London, is looking for a proactive and personable Part-Qualified Semi-Senior Accountant to join our close-knit and friendly team in Crystal Palace.

- Salary: £30,000-£35,000
- Permanent and full time
- 35-hour work week with flexibility around core hours
- Full study support will be offered upon successful completion of probationary period
Main Duties:
You'll play a vital role in delivering accounting, audit, and tax services, with hands-on responsibility across a range of clients and sectors. Key duties include:
- Managing a small client portfolio, providing tailored advice and support
- Preparing year-end financial statements and corporation tax returns
- Producing management accounts, VAT and CIS returns
- Preparing self-assessment and partnership tax returns
- Using cloud-based systems to deliver efficient and accurate work
- Supporting clients with accounting system queries and ad-hoc financial tasks
- Collaborating with the wider team and maintaining strong client relationships
Essential Skills and Experience required:
- At least 2 years' experience in accountancy practice
- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or AAT qualified and progressing further
- Solid understanding of current accounting and auditing standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks (IRIS is a plus)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and teamworking skills
- A friendly, professional attitude and a genuine passion for client service
