Join the Loans Administration team of this International banking group, as an Assistant Team Leader, where you will act as a key referral point for team members, ensure operational excellence, and support the Team Leader and Section Head in driving both performance and innovation.

Salary: £460 Day rate

Contract role

Hybrid working: 2/3 days in the office each week

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Main Duties:

  • Oversee and process loan transactions in your capacity as Facility Agent across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Provide day-to-day support, guidance, and mentoring to Loans Administrators.
  • Act as a bridge between the frontline and operations, liaising regularly with Treasury, Loan Capital Markets, and external stakeholders to ensure funding/payment deadlines are met and client expectations exceeded.
  • Monitor key controls (queues, reports, reconciliations) and uphold the integrity of all loans processing under a strict 4-eye control standard.
  • Collaborate with leadership on improving workflows, procedures, and straight-through processing (STP) initiatives without compromising risk control.
  • Participate in UAT and systems testing with internal partners to ensure operational readiness for enhancements and changes.

Skills/Experience required:

  • Solid understanding of Loans Administration and Agency roles, including market standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a quality-first approach.
  • Proficient knowledge of SWIFT, payment formatting, and the end-to-end loan lifecycle.
  • Ability to interpret and navigate loan documentation, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across departments.
  • Confident communicator - both written and verbal - with the ability to represent the team professionally in both internal and external interactions.
  • Practical experience in loan funding processes and interdepartmental dependencies, especially with Treasury.
