HR Generalist – immediate start or notice. £40K-£42K.

We are looking for an HR Generalist who will assist with the day to day operations and deliver high quality HR services and report to an inspiring HR Manager.

The role is based in super offices based in Central London, 3 days onsite and working form 8-5 daily.

Summary

The HR Generalist supports the full range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, and performance management.

This role acts as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies and processes and works closely with the HR Manager to implement programs that support a positive, compliant, and productive workplace.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
  • Lead new-hire onboarding, including induction, paperwork, and various system setup.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations issues; escalate to HR Manager and document if needed.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrolment, changes, and vendor management.
  • Maintain HRIS records and ensure data accuracy across employee lifecycle events.
  • Support performance management processes, including review cycles and OKR Settings.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Employment Law and internal policies.
  • Draft and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
  • Coordinate training and development programs and track completion.
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports (turnover, headcount, time-to-fill, etc.).
  • Assist with compensation administration (Audits) and salary benchmarking as needed.
  • Support investigations and conflict resolution in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Provide assistance on all HR projects and initiatives. (I. e. ERA).
  • Assist the HR Manager with annual Audits.
  • Support with the Recognition Initiatives.
  • Should be flexible and turn their hand to provide cover in the office for the Office Manager during annual leave/emergencies.
  • Candidate should be comfortable with Hybrid working (3 days) in the office and two from home.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Progressive HR experience, ideally including time in an HR Assistant/Coordinator role.
  • Working knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e. g., Workday, Bamboo HR, ADP) and MS Office/Google Workspace.
