A rare opportunity to join a growing SME bank based in offices in London as their new Regulatory Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, this role will allow an ambitious and experienced regulatory accountant to develop, learn and progress as the business expands.

The Role

The responsibilities of the Regulatory Accountant include:

• Produce monthly and quarterly regulatory reports accurately and within designated timelines
• Evaluate, establish, and uphold controls related to regulatory reporting, including data reconciliations, cross-checks, variance analysis, and investigations
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of regulatory and MI data feeds, financial information, and other inputs
• Support the implementation of a new regulatory reporting system to enhance automation
• Assist in developing and maintaining proper controls and robust documentation for all regulatory reporting
• Assist in the execution of new business/product changes and upcoming regulatory modifications
• Assist the Head of Regulatory Reporting in producing Pillar 3 disclosure, ICAAP, ILAAP and RRP documents. Including stress testing scenarios
• Enhance understanding of capital and liquidity reporting requirements across the organization

About You:

• Qualified accountant with minimum 2 years’ experience
• Good A Level and GCSE Level grades
• ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification
• Minimum 2/3 years financial services experience within banking
• Good understanding of liquidity, capital, market and credit risk
• Experience with the implementation of regulatory reporting is desirable
• Effective communication skills and stakeholder management
