We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Pensions Systems & Data Analyst to support the Pension & Reward Operations Manager in the ongoing maintenance, development, and optimisation of a UK pension administration system (Altair). This is a key role at the heart of pensions operations, combining systems expertise, data management, and project support within a complex and highly regulated environment.
Contract: 6‑12 months

Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and development of the pension administration system (Altair), ensuring the accuracy of member records, benefit calculations, workflows, and member communications.
- Assist with the development, testing, and implementation of system workflows, calculations, and letters, including software upgrades, issue resolution, and change requests.
- Perform monthly payroll and HR reconciliations to ensure pension data integrity and accuracy.
- Support pension data projects, including the Pensions Dashboard, benefit statements, pension increases, scheme extracts, and data reporting and analysis.
- Produce, manage, and upload regular data interfaces to external suppliers, resolving any processing or data‑related queries.
- Assist with annual membership movements and contribution reconciliations, ensuring records are updated correctly and in a timely manner.
- Produce high‑quality management information and reporting within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across pensions administration processes, reporting, and member communications.
- Undertake additional duties aligned with skills and experience as reasonably required.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of UK pension arrangements.
- Proven experience in pensions systems support or administration.
- Experience handling large volumes of sensitive personal data.
- Strong understanding of manual pension benefit calculations.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities.
- Degree‑level education.
- Experience with Altair (Heywood) pension administration system.
- Advanced SQL and/or VBA capabilities.
