We’re looking for an organised and proactive Programme Support Officer to provide administrative and project support across a range of programmes that help local authorities improve services, develop leadership and share best practice.
This is a varied role where you’ll work with colleagues, councils, elected members, peers and external partners to help ensure programmes and projects are delivered smoothly.
- Organising meetings, events, workshops and networking opportunities.
- Providing administrative and project support for improvement programmes and initiatives.
- Supporting peer support programmes, including recruitment, accreditation, placement and coordination of peers.
- Maintaining project plans, databases, CRM systems and electronic filing systems.
- Preparing agendas, papers, briefings, surveys, reports and information sheets.
- Updating websites and online portals with relevant information.
- Supporting the coordination of projects, including tracking milestones and providing regular updates.
- Working with councils, elected members, government departments and public and private sector partners.
- Contributing to projects that support wider organisational objectives and the Business Plan.
An experienced administrator who is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and can quickly learn new systems. A team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and working collaboratively. Customer-focused, flexible and adaptable.
Ideally familiar with local or central government and/or a project-based environment.
