We're looking for a customer-focused IT Presales Consultant to join a growing Managed Service Provider supporting SMB customers across the South.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, Modern Workplace Consultant or Presales Engineer to work closely with customers, understanding business challenges and designing commercially aligned Microsoft and cloud solutions.
Working alongside Sales, Account Management and Technical Delivery teams, you'll lead discovery workshops, shape high-level solution designs and act as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process. This is not a hands-on implementation role. Instead, you'll focus on helping customers adopt the right technologies and ensuring solutions are practical, scalable and aligned to business objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead customer discovery sessions and technical workshops to understand business requirements
- Design high-level solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Managed Services
- Produce solution proposals, scopes of work and technical documentation
- Present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work alongside Account Managers to support new business and existing customer opportunities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are supportable and commercially viable
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping customers modernise their workplace and cloud environments
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Presales, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant or Modern Workplace Consultant role within an MSP or IT Services environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Modern Workplace technologies
- Experience leading customer discovery sessions, workshops or technical consultations
- Ability to translate business requirements into high-level technical solutions
- Experience producing Statements of Work, solution proposals or technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer needs and operational delivery
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Copilot or Power Platform
- Azure or Microsoft certifications
- Experience supporting managed services and cloud transformation projects
