Are you an experienced Credit Administration professional with strong trade finance, loan operations, and risk governance expertise? We are looking for a highly capable Credit Admin Officer to join a bank's Risk Management team. Working as part of a team of four, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the credit portfolio, supporting governance standards, and ensuring operational excellence across lending and trade finance activities.
Hybrid working: 3 days office based per week
Location: London
Main Duties:
- Credit Governance & Approval Administration
- Validate approved credit terms, limits, pricing, collateral, covenants, and conditions precedent
- Maintain approval registers and delegated authority logs
- Monitor exceptions, breaches, and escalation processes
- Ensure facilities are activated only after required approvals and conditions are met
- Prepare and review facility letters and credit documentation
- Coordinate with legal counsel on security enforceability
- Manage security perfection, registrations, and document custody
- Monitor collateral valuations, expiry dates, and coverage ratios
- Administer obligor, group, sector, and country limits
- Monitor utilisation, covenant compliance, and exposure concentration
- Track early warning indicators and support watchlist reporting
- Administer: LCs and SBLCs
- Review SWIFT messaging and assignment notices
- Monitor contingent exposures, fees, maturities, and amendments
- Produce MI dashboards and end-of-day exposure reports
- Perform reconciliations and maker/checker controls
- Support internal audit, regulatory reviews, and control remediation initiatives
Minimum 7+ years’ experience in Credit Administration
Strong experience in Loans & Securities Administration
Proven Trade Finance experience (LCs / Guarantees / SBLCs)
Strong understanding of MI / EOD reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Technical Knowledge:
- Lending and trade finance operations
- Collateral and covenant monitoring
- Credit approvals and documentation review
- Core banking systems (experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE preferred)
- Understanding of risk metrics such as EAD, LGD, PD is advantageous
