The Operations Manager – Treatments (OMT) is a crucial member of the Stroud Management Team. The primary customer contact and operational driver for all treatment operations. The OMT has total managerial responsibility for customer satisfaction, operational performance, safety and development of the treatments team. The OMT role encompasses the management of Chemical Surface Treatments, Non-Destructive Testing and Paint Shop facilities at the Stroud Facility.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Effective management of the Treatments team, circa 50 employees.
  • Manage customer expectation and delivery of agreed customer commitments.
  • Maximise resources to deliver a best-in-class customer experience whilst ensuring a positive P&L outcome.
  • Promote a safety-first culture.
  • Instigate and promote continuous improvement initiatives within the Treatments Function and support the same within the wider organisation.

Reporting Structure

The OMT reports directly to the CEO of the organisation.

Person Specification - Essential

  • At least 5 years Operational Management Experience.
  • A proven leader of operational teams >50 number.
  • Strong communicator, in particular able to communicate directly with customers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Strong quality values.
  • Comfortable and confident facing customers and regulatory agencies.

Person Specification - Desirable

  • Recognised IOSH or NEBOSH safety qualification or willingness to achieve the same.
  • Experience of managing within a surface treatment facility.
  • Working in a NADCAP approved facility.
  • Working within an AS9100 approved facility.
  • Knowledge of NDT processes and requirements.
