Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Web Developer to join our team and help modernise the companys core digital infrastructure. You will play a key role in developing a scalable, secure, and maintainable platform that integrates ecommerce, CRM, licensing, and other business-critical systems. This is a hands-on development role for a developer who thrives on complex, integrated systems, enjoys problem solving across the full stack, and wants to contribute to a mission-critical platform.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance the companys core digital platform, ensuring seamless integration of e-commerce, CRM, licensing, and other business systems.

Work closely with the Digital Systems Manager to support the migration to a modern, scalable architecture using full-stack technologies.

Develop new features and functionality for both front-end and back-end components in following best practices.

Implement and maintain robust API integrations with internal and third-party systems.

Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues to maintain system reliability and data integrity.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of code quality.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong full-stack development experience with Laravel/PHP for API development and front-end frameworks such as Vue.js (or similar).

Familiarity with Node.js for working on an existing LoopBack application.

Experience with CMS platforms and content/data migrations.

Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

Experience with API design and integrations, connecting multiple business systems.

Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and web security best practices, with experience of Single Sign-On (SSO) integration across multiple systems.

Proficiency with Git version control, containerisation tools (Docker), and cloud deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar).

Comfortable working with Linux-based web environments, including deployment, monitoring and maintenance.

Desirable Skills

Experience with Nuxt.js for SSR/SSG frontend development in an API-first or decoupled architecture.

Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and automated testing in Laravel or similar frameworks.

Exposure to headless CMS platforms and their integration into web application architectures.

Experience with e-commerce platforms, CRM systems, or licensing integrations.

Experience with performance optimisation and Nginx configuration.

Additional Information

Although it is home-based, the role requires occasional attendance at our office in Stroud.

We area growing and dynamic company, so our team members are expected to occasionally assist with tasks that are not strictly within their job description.
