The Trainee Systems Integration & Test Engineer (SEIT) will support a range of systems engineering activities across complex, advanced technical programmes. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to begin a career in systems engineering, gaining exposure to the full engineering lifecycle from early concept through to design, integration, testing, and operational support. The role will work closely with experienced engineers and technical teams, helping to ensure customer and system requirements are understood and translated into practical engineering solutions.
The role will provide hands-on involvement in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and analysis activities. It offers strong development opportunities, allowing the successful candidate to build foundational skills in systems thinking, problem-solving, and engineering analysis within a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation activities across engineering projects
- Assist with analysis of system performance, risk, cost, and supportability across the lifecycle
- Help translate customer and system requirements into structured engineering outputs and solutions
- Contribute to functional analysis, trade studies, interface definition, and requirements allocation activities
- Support the development of hardware and software specifications based on system requirements
- Work closely with engineering teams across concept, design, testing, installation, and operational phases
