We're looking for a Technical Trainer - Design & Delivery to join our team at Lockheed Martin Strategic Systems based in RNAD Coulport, Helensburgh. In this role you’ll be more than just a trainer — you’ll be shaping the skills and knowledge of the Royal Navy and our own people. This is a chance to design and deliver training that really makes an impact, while enjoying excellent work-life balance through our flexible working patterns.
Work Pattern: (9/75) 9-day fortnight or (4xFlex) 4-day week (days can vary depending on training delivery schedule). Hybrid working with typically 1-2 days a week working remotely.
What you'll do:
- Work as a fully integrated member of the LMUK SS Training team and SWS Operations Handling Teams.
- Deliver training to civilian and military colleagues.
- Design and deliver training material in support of operational training to defence standards in accordance with JSP 822 Defence Direction and Guidance for Training and Education.
- Conduct reviews of training documentation in accordance with LMUK SS and Defence Quality Processes.
- Support operational training outputs and wider team goals; this may require shift work and occasional US/UK travel.
- Maintain a working knowledge of approved documentation, mandatory health and safety legislation, acceptance standards and directives to ensure compliance with the programme and company requirements.

The successful candidate must achieve the appropriate level (DV) of security clearance.
Proven experience:
- Experience as a Training Designer or Technical Trainer (with design experience).
- Technical Training experience in Defence, Engineering, Armed Forces, Emergency Services or a similar environment.
- Strong communication, verbal and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and an adaptable attitude to working shifts.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to balance priorities.
- Be motivated, reliable and show initiative to work to deadlines.
Desirable skills:
- Experience of RBHT and TMHT Strategic Weapon System (SWS) experience (Operator or Trainer).
