We're looking for a Re-Entry Engineering Compliance Officer to join our team within the Lockheed Martin - Strategic Systems business area, based at RNAD Coulport, Helensburgh. This role benefits from a 4 day working week Mon - Thu giving you every Friday off.

Upon joining our Strategic Systems business you will be able to make an immediate impact, applying your quality engineering expertise to ensure that all SWS Engineering and Quality functions related to the Trident Re-Entry System (RES) flight hardware and support equipment are controlled and performed in accordance with US and UK SWS Project requirements and the appropriate safety and quality standards.
You will provide engineering support to ensure emergent Flight Hardware/Surface Support Equipment defects and documentation anomalies are dispositioned in accordance with approved procedures and will initiate and direct diagnostic fault finding investigations to support a RES production programme.
You'll also be responsible for creating new maintenance procedures for equipment unique to the facility, as well as reviewing and initiating changes to project preventive maintenance procedures and source documentation. On top of this you'll also review defect report responses, equipment modification proposals and documentation change proposals and provide advice to stakeholders regarding the suitability of such responses and proposals.

Key Requirements:
- Effective supervision / leadership of staff in a specialist safety critical environment (Inspection / Quality Assurance)
- A mixed Mechanical / Electrical (Electromechanical) hands-on Engineering background
- Proficient experience of Microsoft's 'Office' software suite and become a competent user of multi-government classified IT networks, hardware and peripherals
- Experience in a customer-facing environment
- Have the ability to adapt to meet changing priorities and deadlines
- ONC, HNC or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering discipline
