You will be responsible for building, integrating, and testing complex assemblies within a fast‑paced engineering and development environment. Working from early-stage designs, engineering drawings, and evolving work instructions, you will transform concepts into high‑precision, functional products.
The role involves working with a variety of materials, including metals, composites, and advanced adhesives, ensuring all assemblies meet defined engineering tolerances, quality standards, and functional performance requirements. You will play an important role in bridging the gap between design and production-ready hardware.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical instructions to assemble precision components
- Carry out mechanical assembly, integration, and basic functional testing of systems and sub-assemblies
- Use precision measurement equipment to verify dimensions and ensure tolerance compliance
- Work with a range of materials and processes, including fastening, bonding, and light fabrication
- Identify build issues or design challenges and work with engineering teams to resolve them
- Maintain accurate build records and documentation to support traceability and quality requirements
- Support continuous improvement activities, including Lean / 6S practices and process refinement
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a high‑precision assembly or manufacturing environment (e.g. aerospace, defence, medical, or advanced R&D)
Ability to read and interpret ISO / ANSI engineering drawings and specifications
Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Competent in the use of manual and light power tools (e.g. drills, torque tools, spot welders)
Understanding of Lean principles, basic root-cause analysis, and corrective action processes

- Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering, quality, and production teams
