As part of the Rural Payment Wales (RPW) team, you will support the processing and delivery of RPW schemes, including the new Sustainable Farming Scheme 2026. You will be involved in customer application processing, data handling, mapping and quality assurance across multiple digital systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate RPW scheme applications and claims, ensuring alignment with scheme rules, audit requirements and quality standards.
- Carry out mapping tasks, spatial checks and data validation using bespoke mapping systems, aerial and remote-sensing imagery.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails in Welsh Government digital systems and Microsoft Office packages.
- Manage the team’s shared mailbox, triage queries and draft routine correspondence.
- Plan, organise and support meetings, workshops and events, both virtual and in-person.
- Provide frontline support to internal and external customers, including Digital Assistance appointments.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Welsh Government to support shared objectives and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, updating guidance and desk instructions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in an operational delivery or administrative role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other digital tools.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Experience using geographical data and mapping tools is desirable.
- Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
