This role provides a significant opportunity to contribute to the Welsh Government’s strategic ambitions for a modern, sustainable and resilient transport system. Working within the Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy Group, the post holder will support the development and delivery of Aviation, Maritime and Logistics policy, aligned with Llwybr Newydd – the Wales Transport Strategy and its focus on modal shift and carbon reduction.
The post plays an important role in supporting Welsh Government’s oversight of Cardiff Airport, contributing to aviation policy engagement with the UK Government, and assisting with the delivery of maritime and logistics priorities, including the administration of Harbour Revision Orders. The position offers exposure to high‑profile policy areas, complex governance arrangements and cross‑government collaboration.
The role also provides substantial professional development opportunities. The post holder will gain experience in policy development, public procurement and cross‑sector working, while building strong networks across Welsh Government, local authorities, Transport for Wales, Cardiff Airport, UK Government departments and the Devolved Administrations.
