The Role
We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 4–6 sessions per week. We can offer flexibility around sessions to support the right candidate. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative environment.
About Us
Ratby Medical Centre is a hardworking, family-run practice with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. Over the past few years, we have grown significantly and are now looking to expand our clinical team to support our increasing list size and continue delivering excellent care in line with our practice vision. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, close-knit and productive team with a genuine open-door policy, encouraging all members of the clinical team to discuss complex cases and clinical queries openly and collaboratively. Team wellbeing and connection are important to us. We hold daily lunchtime team huddles to share updates and support one another and we also have a much-loved cake rota, where a different staff member brings in treats each week! We adhere to BMA safe working limits and offer medical student teaching.
Main Duties
- Routine GP consultations
- Management of acute and chronic conditions
- Participation in practice meetings and clinical discussions
- Supporting QOF and enhanced services
- Contributing to service development and quality improvement
- Own clinical administrative time

In addition to our core practice team, we are highly engaged with our Primary Care Network and local GP Federation. Through these partnerships, we benefit from an extended multidisciplinary team including:
- First Contact Physiotherapist
- Social Prescribers
This additional support helps protect GP time and enhances patient care.

Ratby is a thriving village on the edge of Leicester with excellent transport links, offering easy access to the M1, A46 and M69, making commuting straightforward from surrounding areas.
