HEALTH CARE ASSISTANT VACANCY
We are looking for a Health Care Assistant for 37 hours per week

Fosse Medical Centre is a solid friendly team, we work together to provide the best care for our patients. We have a supporting clinical team and we are a training practice that supports staff to have the best training and progress where possible.
The hours that are needed are as follows:
MONDAY 08.00am – 14.00pm
TUESDAY 08.00am -. 14.00pm
WEDNESDAY 10.00am – 20.00pm
THURSDAY 11.00am – 20.00pm
FRIDAY 08.00am – 14.00pm
The role will include:
Duties and responsibilities:
- NHS Health Checks
- Diabetic Foot Checks
- NHS Health Checks
- LD Health Checks
- Ear syringing
- Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
(This would include sporadic drops to UHL when needed) (Data loggers)
- Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of surgery equipment
- Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
- Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
- Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
- Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
- Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients’ health and well-being
- Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual
- Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
- Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
- Supporting with Baby Vaccination call/recall
Our surgery is city centre, within a refurbished building; we currently care for 10,000 patients with 4 partners, 1 TNAP, 1 Practice Nurse 1 Nursing Associate, 2 HCAs, and 8 administration staff and all attached staff.
