As part of the GP Re‑imbursement scheme, we are able to offer a 4‑session salaried GP role on a fixed term basis to 31st March 2027. We would hope to be able to extend the role beyond this based on future funding, however at this point this is not certain.
- Working as part of a friendly, and supportive multi‑skilled clinical team you will be seeing patients who have been assessed as needing a GP appointment by our GP‑led total triage model.
- Our practice ethos is for Partners and salaried GPs to share the clinical work proportionally based on sessions and to promote continuity of care where possible so you will also take part in the rotas for triage sessions, Duty Doctor sessions as well as late clinics.
- Where you have areas of particular clinical interest that reflect the needs of the practice, there will be the opportunity to utilise these too.
- A key part of creating a supportive environment for our clinicians is the shared coffee break scheduled on the rota each morning. Feedback from our GPs and wider clinical team highlights how valuable this is in creating a sense of team and allowing time to relax and chat or ask for advice about patients from each other. We have a monthly meeting for our salaried GPs with two of the Partners to support ongoing sharing of information and listening to feedback and new ideas.
- We have invested in building our clinical team over time to reflect the needs of our patients and in addition to our GPs, we have a large team of experienced practitioners including sexual health nurse, care home nurse, paramedic, pharmacists, and our practice nurses who manage diabetes, COPD and asthma. We have also developed specialised admin roles such as Safeguarding Officer, Insurance Officer and Patient Liaison who support the clinicians. As a member of the Leicester City South PCN, our patients also have support from our PCN pharmacists, social prescriber, physiotherapist, paramedic, nursing associate and mental health practitioners.
- As one of the leading training practices within the City, we actively promote the needs of inner city patients through our teaching activities with medical, pharmacy and nursing students. There are always opportunities to have a variety of students sitting in with you. Our in‑house educational programme allows plenty of opportunities to share learning and hear updates from colleagues, as well as presenting on your own areas of interest.
Working within the re‑imbursement scheme framework we can offer an incremental, in‑house salary scale reflective of years experience, annual / study leave package as well as inclusion in the practice MDDUS policy and eye care vouchers.
