Your contribution will have a direct and positive impact on patient experience, dignity, and clinical outcomes.

  • Support oncology patient home visits by assisting with clinical activities in line with individual care plans and agreed competencies.

  • Support the coordination and delivery of oncology care, helping to create a seamless, calm, and reassuring experience for patients and their families.
  • Accurately record clinical activity and patient information to support ongoing treatment and continuity of care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and clinical governance.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, sensitively supporting them throughout their cancer care journey.

You are a caring and conscientious Healthcare Assistant who understands the importance of empathy, dignity, and person-centred care-particularly when supporting patients living with cancer. You are comfortable working in community settings and take pride in delivering safe, respectful, and high-quality care in patients' homes.

You bring:

  • Phlebotomy skills, with the confidence to carry out procedures calmly, safely, and in line with clinical guidance.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain procedures clearly, listen attentively, and document accurately.
  • An understanding of healthcare policies, regulatory standards, and relevant legislation, with a strong commitment to compliance and confidentiality.
  • The ability to build trust and rapport, offering compassion, emotional intelligence, and reassurance to oncology patients and their families.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and adherence to care plans.
  • A flexible and reliable approach, with the ability to work independently during home visits and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
  • A genuine passion for patient care, particularly supporting individuals with complex and long-term conditions.
