Manager, Direct Tax We’re looking for a Direct Tax Manager to join our Tax team in London.

Role You’ll work at the centre of our tax function, supporting both the Corporation and the wider Lloyd’s market on direct tax matters.
From compliance to advisory, you’ll bring clarity to complex issues and help ensure we continue to operate with integrity, efficiency and confidence across global markets.
The role Provision of direct tax technical analysis and input into projects for the Market and other functions within the Corporation.
Principal Accountabilities Provision of direct tax technical analysis and input into projects for the Market and other functions within the Corporation.
Assist with lobbying of, and liaison with, UK and other tax authorities on behalf of the Market.
Management of the compliance process for Members’ income tax returns in specific countries.
Investigating legislative changes affecting the Market (with external advisers where necessary) and ensuring these changes are incorporated into tax compliance systems and processes.
Responding to queries from the Market.
Maintaining accurate tax information on Crystal+.
Act as a technical expert on direct tax matters for other departments.
Manage tax risk for the Market.
What You’ll Bring Strong experience in UK corporation tax compliance and reporting.
Knowledge of UK and international corporate tax principles such as permanent establishment risk, transfer pricing, and withholding taxes.
Knowledge of the insurance industry helpful but not required.
Exposure to international tax issues.
The confidence to explain complex tax concepts in a simple way.
A proactive mindset, with the ability to challenge and improve processes.
Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
Experience Solid grounding in UK and international corporate taxes supported by appropriate tax qualifications or experience.
Experience in managing tax compliance processes.
Awareness of other taxes such as VAT and premium taxes.
