The Role: We are looking for an Accounts Assistant – External Reporting to join our Central Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of Lloyd’s market reporting, supporting the delivery of regulatory and financial reporting using modern reporting tools and large-scale financial datasets. You will gain exposure to multiple reporting frameworks while working closely with internal teams and managing agents across the Lloyd’s market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse syndicate submissions, identifying trends and raising queries with managing agents
  • Support the preparation of Lloyd’s UK Solvency II reporting, including submissions to the PRA and the Solvency and Financial Condition Report
  • Assist in delivering UK GAAP financial reporting, including aggregation of market results
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet regulatory reporting requirements
  • Respond to queries from the Lloyd’s market, ensuring clear and professional communication
  • Support reporting cycles and delivery of external reporting outputs
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and testing of reporting tools
  • Escalate emerging issues and risks to senior team members where appropriate

  • Strong Excel and IT skills, with ability to learn new reporting systems
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge & experience:

  • Understanding of financial reporting and internal controls
  • Aware of the Lloyd’s market and its reporting environment (desirable)
  • Exposure to UK Solvency II and/or UK GAAP reporting is advantageous

Qualifications:

  • Newly qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
