Principal Accountabilities
- Strategic Direction & Influence: Define, evolve, and influence adoption of Lloyd’s enterprise data capability architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide architectural direction. Shape and steer the future state of the data ecosystem by developing data architectural guardrails, concepts, and strategic recommendations. Bring forward innovative thinking and market insight to improve data capabilities, working through influence rather than ownership. Work with the Data & AI Director and team to align and deliver and evolve Lloyd’s Data & AI strategy.
- Enterprise Governance & Standards: Lead the definition, socialisation, and governance of data principles, policies, and standards across the corporation. Ensure data-related designs brought through governance align to enterprise patterns, regulatory requirements, and strategic direction — through advisory oversight, not direct solutioning. Partner with architecture governance forums (EDA, ARB) to represent data-architecture concerns and drive consistent enterprise alignment.
- Cross-Functional Partnership & Advisory: Act as a strategic advisor to business domains, delivery teams, and platform leads to shape data-related decisions early, ensuring alignment to the target data architecture. Guide and challenge vendors, delivery partners, and solution architects (including Accenture) to apply enterprise data principles and patterns. Support Data Strategy delivery through influence, enabling its translation into scalable technical and architectural direction.
- Risk, Compliance & Non-Functional Alignment: Influence the incorporation of regulatory, privacy, and resilience considerations into all data-related solution designs. Identify architectural risks across the data estate and work with owners, not as the owner, to ensure risk mitigation paths are adopted.
