The People & Culture Partner plays a dual role as both strategic business partner and a hands-on local HR presence across our Rest of World (ROW) region (EMEA/US). Operating as part of the global HR Business Partnering team, this role ensures that global people strategies are executed with regional nuance, whilst also facilitating the delivery of central HR services including Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Payroll and other global people and organisational initiatives. This role builds strong and collaborative partnerships with both leaders and employees, ensuring both the strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR activities are delivered effectively, consistently and with a deep understanding of local context. This ultimately supports the business to enable managers and colleagues to deliver high levels of business performance.

This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Head of HR and Global Resourcing. This role is permanent and offers balanced working with 2-3 days a week in our London office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pro-actively engages with colleagues and managers to build credible and collaborative business relationships, standing as trusted advisor on all people related matters.
  • Provides coaching and advice to managers to help them reach appropriate decisions on all aspects of people management.
  • Co-creates and delivers annual people plans to ensure delivery and collaboration of people initiatives, including performance reviews, compensation planning, talent management and succession planning.
  • Provides project management and expertise to the business with specific related projects and people initiatives such as organisational design, workforce planning and change programmes.
  • Supports the identification of strategic people issues in partnership with the business area and support them to resolve these matters effectively and whilst reducing business risk.
  • Uses data-driven insights to identify regional people risks, opportunities and future workforce needs.
  • Delivers global HR programmes and other business focused initiatives including employee engagement, wellbeing, talent management and diversity & inclusion at a local level with excellence and consistency.
  • Represents ROW within the global HR Business Partnering team, sharing insights, feedback, and regional nuances e.g. to provide regional reward insights and support benefits initiatives with local benchmarking.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for all regional employee relations matters and manages end-to-end casework including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management.
  • Leads complex or sensitive ER issues with minimal supervision, partnering with Legal and HR Operations.
  • Coaches managers to build capability in handling people matters confidently and compliantly.
  • Advises managers and colleagues on the terms and conditions of employment, policies, and practices across the different jurisdictions within ROW region.
  • Works in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Partners to develop the way we attract the top talent that we need to deliver the business strategy in the ROW region including supporting with interviewing, hiring decisions and ensuring consistency in selection standards across the region.
  • Works with the People Operations Specialist and Payroll Managers to ensure delivery of HR services and payroll activity for the ROW region including overseeing local onboarding, engagement and employee lifecycle activity.
  • Working collaboratively within the People team and other functions to align and achieve business and people initiatives.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Proven experience in an HR business partnering role in a multi-jurisdictional or regional environment.
  • Proven experience managing a full range of employee relations issues and leading complex casework.
  • Solid understanding of regional employment law, HR best practice and its commercial application.
  • Strong relationship management across a diverse range of stakeholders, coaching and influencing capacity.
  • Experience of managing disciplinary, grievance and exit processes end to end.
  • Experience of leading organisational change.
  • Data-driven and able to apply insights to shape decision making and people plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to flex personal style in response to others or fit the situation.
  • Evaluates situations rationally and takes decisions based upon analysis.
  • A strong team player, delivering strongly whilst communicating effectively with the wider People & Culture team and business.
  • Resilient, able to deal with challenges and manage difficult situations firmly and sensitively.
  • Able to act within company policies and procedures and recommend solutions to add value.
  • Able to be proactive and propose initiatives to add value to the business.
  • Required to work on own initiative and proactively identify process improvements.

Desirable

  • A Level 5/7 CIPD certification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a business growth through a period of change and growth.
  • Previous experience working in a PE backed business.
