  • As a senior leader within Group Corporate Affairs, you’ll act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders and a key voice shaping how we tell our story externally and internally
  • Setting and delivering an integrated communications strategy that strengthens our reputation as a commercial bank with a leading role in helping Britain prosper
  • Providing strategic counsel on complex and sensitive reputational issues, anticipating risks and finding opportunities
  • Leading high-impact campaigns that bring together media, social media, public affairs and internal communications
  • Partnering closely with senior business leaders to ensure communications drive commercial outcomes
  • Articulating clear, compelling storytelling about the role our clients play across UK sectors and regions – highlighting their impact on local economies, jobs and growth
  • Translating business strategy and cultural change into engaging internal communications programmes

  • A generous holiday allowance: You’ll be eligible for a minimum of 22 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 30 days based on length of service and grade.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of media, public affairs, digital and employee communications channels
  • Excellent business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior collaborators
  • A focus on outcomes, with the ability to align communications to measurable business impact
  • A collaborative attitude, with experience leading matrix teams and working with different communications channels
  • Strong storytelling capability – able to translate complex content into clear, engaging narratives
  • A curious mindset and proven experience of responsibly employing AI to drive efficiency and enhance creativity
  • 3-5 years’ experience in senior communications roles, ideally in financial services or a related sector
  • A strong track record of delivering integrated, multi-channel communications strategies
  • Commercially aware, with strong understanding of the UK economic and regional business landscape
  • A natural leader and coach, building capability and confidence in others
  • High-quality judgement and experience handling complex reputational issues
