We're looking for someone to help bring our digital experiences to life. You'll work collaboratively alongside a full design multidisciplinary team, with a willingness to learn from and actively support other visual designers. At Lloyds, we value the craft and expertise of each design discipline. This role is well suited to someone with deep expertise in UI and visual design, especially within mobile app experiences, who can help raise the quality, consistency and accessibility of what we deliver to our customers.

In this role you'll:

  • Create best-in-class experiences for our mobile banking app.
  • Play a key role within a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, engineers, and product owners to help uncover priorities, outcomes, and define scope.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs, aspirations, and challenges and as a result, inject empathy and creativity into your work.
  • Be an active contributor to the design community. This includes engaging with the visual design community of practice to share knowledge and improve design practices across the organisation.
  • Support user research activities and apply insights to your designs.
  • Bring your designs and presentations to life with prototyping software. Figma is our main tool - experience is essential, as well as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Master storytelling techniques to help the design and products teams communicate effectively to the wider business.

Why join us? We're transforming at pace. Investing billions in our people, data and tech to change the way we meet the needs of our 28 million customers. We're growing, and we'd love you to be part of the journey.

What we're looking for:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience within Visual/UI Design.
  • Advanced visual design skills across platforms (iOS, Android, web, mobile).
  • Ability to share a portfolio that demonstrates strong mobile app design, high-fidelity UI craft and clear visual design decision-making.
  • Strong systems thinking and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellence in interaction design, visual design, and accessibility.
  • Proficiency in tools: Figma, Adobe CC.
  • Skilled in prototyping, sketching, and concept development.
  • Experience working within and contributing to multi-brand design systems.
  • Competent in documenting components and maintaining design consistency.
  • Strong ability to see designs through to delivery - communicating with developers to ensure designs meet specifications and can be used by a broad range of users of all backgrounds, ages and abilities.
  • A collaborative attitude ready to support a busy multi-disciplinary team.

This is a place for you. Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities and we're committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop. We're disability confident. So, if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top
