Lloyd’s is seeking to recruit x2 Business Application Leads. These are strategic and technical roles that ensure an organisation’s software applications effectively support its business goals. It’s a blend of IT leadership, process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement. This role is expected to partner equally with senior business stakeholders and counterparts in Operations to deliver maximum business value in alignment with strategic priorities.
Principal Accountabilities- Stakeholder Relationship Management: For all Service Delivery matters, act as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and Operations, fostering trust-based relationships to understand priorities, challenges, and emerging needs. Working closely in partnership with the Change function, particularly Domain Leads, to ensure appropriate & correct ownership of items when they arise.

- Service Performance & Reporting: Support the business in defining required levels of service performance, resilience, and cost. Hold delivery functions accountable for agreed performance levels, escalating and resolving issues as needed. Produce timely and effective management information summarising service performance, including service level adherence.
- Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement: Oversee resolution of issues and incidents, ensuring outcomes meet stakeholder expectations. Conduct root cause analysis and identify themes to inform future improvements and development backlogs. Embed lessons learned into ongoing service delivery and project planning.
- IT Application Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Act as a subject matter expert across Lloyd’s regulatory, supervisory, and operational platforms. Provide expert support for incidents, problems, escalations, risks, and issues across the application landscape.
- Technical Oversight & Solution Assurance: Maintain deep knowledge of Lloyd’s applications, platforms, and business processes. Partner with Accenture and architecture teams to validate solution feasibility and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

- Vendor & Partner Coordination: Act as the conduit between internal teams and outsourced IT partners or strategic vendors. Manage escalations, ensuring service quality and accountability. Support contract reviews in collaboration with Vendor Management, Service Performance, Procurement, and Legal teams.
- Value & Performance Management: Define and monitor KPIs to measure service performance and business impact across assigned units. Support cost optimisation initiatives. Facilitate continuous improvement through structured feedback loops with stakeholders.
- Project & Small Change Support: Support service transition and introduction of new applications, including review and sign-off. Work with the Domain Delivery led on prioritisation of BAU, Small change and transformation activities.
- Experience in working in a highly outsourced environment
- Lloyd’s Market knowledge in relation to IT Applications/services
- Management of multiple projects concurrently in a cross-functional environment.
- Change agent, technology evangelist and thought leader in IT Applications.
- Business / Data Analysis.
- Relevant software development techniques and technologies.
- IT Service Management methodologies – (e.g. ITIL, COBIT).
- Management knowledge and general understanding of the IT infrastructure and service environments and end user technology used within the organisation.
- Microsoft software stack (O365, SharePoint, Windows 10, Teams, etc.)
- Public Cloud (Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge and expertise in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL v4) framework and processes, with a focus on Incident & Problem management and Change, release & configuration management.
- Experience in managing third-party supplier relationships and associated agreements.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
- Demonstrable Senior Stakeholder management.
