  • An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Executive Office of Client Solutions Group (CSG), part of Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB)
  • CSG is responsible for delivering a broad range of products and solutions to our clients
  • We’re seeking an experienced Product Governance and Risk manager to join our newly formed team, to strengthen governance, risk management and controls across CSG and enable the delivery of CIB’s growth strategy
  • This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the product governance and risk management agenda, ensuring robust governance frameworks, effective risk oversight and a strong control environment
  • The successful candidate will provide independent challenge and oversight of product development, drive consistency in the application of governance standards, and oversee the management and remediation of key risk and control issues
  • They will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify emerging risks, strengthen controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory and Group requirements
  • Extensive stakeholder relationship-building, strong risk management expertise and the ability to influence at senior levels are essential skills to delivering effective governance and sustainable risk outcomes across CSG and the wider organisation
  • This role will be a catalyst for driving accountability and continuous improvement within governance and risk management practices
  • Manage CSG’s critical governance meetings, including risk committees and product governance forums, ensuring robust first line risk management
  • Support senior executives with governance preparation, management information, briefing materials and reporting
  • Design, develop and maintain governance frameworks, standards and supporting documentation, ensuring consistent application across CSG
  • Oversee CSG’s product governance practices, ensuring effective management of product-related risks, decisions and change activity
  • Provide first line risk partnership, challenge and oversight to CSG teams to ensure that risks are appropriately identified, assessed and mitigated
  • Conduct deep-dive reviews and risk assessments to pro-actively manage risks, captured through our end-to-end operational risk management system
  • Coordinate and oversee risk remediation programmes to address control weaknesses and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the resolution of complex cross-business risk and control issues arising from audits, regulatory reviews and second and third-line assurance activity
  • Provide expert guidance on governance matters including Powers of Attorney, Material Risk Taker requirements and Delegated Authority frameworks
