This role will provide support to advisers and their clients on a range of matters from an investment perspective. From assisting with pitches for new business, to client retention and presenting at client seminars, as well as providing expertise on our core discretionary propositions. As an Investment Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing our investment expertise to life—supporting advisers and clients with clear, insightful guidance and high‑quality communications that drive confidence and lasting value. This is a dynamic and collaborative role where you’ll work closely with advisers, clients, and internal teams to support both client retention and new business growth. You’ll use your investment knowledge to influence outcomes, enhance understanding, and deliver an exceptional client experience. Whether you’re developing client presentations, contributing to strategic communications, or engaging directly with clients and colleagues, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting regional managers, advisers and key stakeholders across Lloyds Wealth as a subject matter expert to support client retention and support new business growth.
  • Strengthening adviser and client investment knowledge to ensure client needs are met and fair outcomes are consistently delivered.
  • Communicating in‑depth knowledge and benefits of the full range of Lloyds Wealth investment products and services.
  • Providing clear and consistent communication of investment policy to advisers and clients through email, telephone, virtual, and in‑person meetings.
  • Delivering investment seminars to clients and advisers.
  • Responding to adviser investment queries via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams to support colleagues in delivering fair client outcomes.
  • Providing clear and timely responses to client performance questions to enhance client experience and satisfaction.
  • Contributing to the development of investment communications through close collaboration with our Authorised Corporate Director (ACD), investment partner Schroders Investment Management, and Lloyds’ marketing teams.
  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable policies, procedures, and role requirements, identifying risks and escalating to the Senior Investment Specialist where appropriate.
  • Responsible for drafting weekly communication to advisers.

Skills / Competencies

  • Minimum level 4 qualified – IMC or CISI level 6 or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in an investment management or client‑facing role.
  • High level of financial market and economic knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and confidence in delivering presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time‑sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
  • Strong stakeholder management to build and maintain relationships across the wider investment office and Lloyds Wealth.
  • Strong client‑focus and proactive approach to drive high levels of client satisfaction and experience.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous self‑development, proactively seeking feedback to enhance performance and capability.
