Product Manager – MAST Simplification Project (fixed‑term contract, 12 months)
Location: Multiple countries considered.
What we're looking for
MAST is a monolith software system that facilitates the execution of class and statutory survey and certification. The role is part of a program to modernise the system, prioritising the execution, certification and fee information components across several discrete workstreams.

The role
- Collaborate with the Project Team to define and refine epics, features and user stories.
- Use or collect user feedback and translate it into action plans and user stories to promote enhancements.
- Engage with business SMEs to support Business Analysts and Product Analysts with industry knowledge and expertise.
- Provide ideas and suggestions to enhance the vision for the project.
- Contribute to the In‑Service Product Management Team and to related maritime compliance areas as required.
- Provide timely and appropriate guidance to clients and stakeholders regarding product changes.
- Plan, evaluate and process documentation/data/information and tasks in line with local business requirements and timelines.
- Discuss and present ideas and topics in specific technical areas to a technical audience/client, suggesting solutions to meet technical standards with SME support when needed.
- Participate in and present workshops (internal or external) for project support, and collaborate on material preparation and delivery.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent recognised by Lloyd's Register in a relevant field or qualifications suited to a product‑management role.
- Strong communication skills at all organisational levels, with the ability to influence effectively and openly both inside and outside the organisation.
- An understanding of and ability to engage in marine technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues.
- The ability to analyse complex or unfamiliar situations, visualise solutions and see them through to resolution.
- Enjoyment of building relationships and a proactive approach to developing key relationships internally and externally.
- Commercial awareness and the capacity to develop strategic action plans based on input from key stakeholders.
- A strong team spirit, professional people skills and the ability to promote a collaborative working environment.
- Thorough industry knowledge of maritime compliance regimes, product management and software development.
