We are seeking motivated Solicitors to join our growing team, specializing in Magistrates' Court representation, advising clients at the police stations and case preparation.
This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified Solicitors with a clear interest in Criminal Defence to work in a dynamic environment, representing clients in diverse cases and ensuring high-quality legal advice and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Representing clients in Magistrates' Court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and case management.
· Advising clients at the police stations (PSRAS)
· Advising and supporting clients on all aspects of criminal law and court procedures.
· Manage own case load.
· Preparing cases for trial, where necessary.
· Liaising with clients, counsel, witnesses, and law enforcement agencies.
· Keeping up-to-date with legal developments and legislative changes.
Key Requirements:
· Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
· Clear interest in Criminal Defence work and advocacy capabilities in the Magistrates' Court.
· Willingness to obtain accreditation as a Police Station Representative and gaining accreditation to become a duty solicitor are a must.
· PSRAS/Duty Solicitor qualification will be an added advantage.
· Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong ability to manage caseloads efficiently and working under pressure.
