We are looking for an exceptional candidate to assume the role of Commercial Finance Analyst. The Commercial Finance team oversees all commercial and revenue-generating parts of the business, in particular the Sales & Product teams and associated functions and will be responsible for revenue reporting and related finance areas (Commissions, Deferred Revenue, Bad Debt). This role is responsible for collaborating with and challenging the global Sales team to ensure appropriate targets are set, pipeline is managed, and marketing spend and other costs are driving optimal returns. This position needs to solve problems at a group level, ensuring consistency in approach between the various regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Performance & Insight: Deliver timely and accurate monthly reporting and analysis of global revenue and ACV performance, identifying key drivers and variances against plan. Monitor revenue performance across regions, products and sales channels, providing clear insight into trends and performance drivers. Provide clear commentary on revenue performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities impacting outlook.
  • Commercial Business Partnering: Act as Finance Business Partner to the Global Sales team, supporting leadership with financial insight and decision support. Partner with Sales and Product teams to support commercial initiatives, pricing discussions and business planning regarding ACV performance and GTM activities. Challenge and support commercial stakeholders through data-driven analysis to improve ACV delivery and support strategic objectives. Support preparation of revenue and ACV forecasts in collaboration with regional sales leadership. Analyse pipeline health, conversion trends and deal activity to improve forecasting accuracy. Monitor performance against forecasts and highlight key variances, risks and opportunities. Support scenario analysis and financial modelling to assess potential revenue outcomes.
  • Commissions Review & Forecasting: Review monthly sales commission calculations to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved commission structures. Support commission forecasting and monitoring to ensure alignment with expected sales performance. Provide analysis on sales incentive structures and their effectiveness in driving revenue outcomes.
  • Strategic Commercial Support: Support the Commercial Finance Director with financial analysis across revenue-generating areas of the business. Contribute to financial analysis supporting commercial initiatives and revenue growth strategies. Assist in developing reporting that improves visibility of revenue drivers, sales performance and ACV trends. Support analysis of emerging or alternative revenue streams, including marketing partnerships, sponsorships and promotional activity where applicable.

What we are looking for

  • You are a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • You have strong commercial acumen, with a strategic approach, strong numeric and analytical skill.
  • You have strong financial controlling background with experience of business‑partnering role.
  • You have a keen eye for detail, and strong Excel skills to manage large/complex datasets.
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You are an enthusiastic collaborator, who enjoys being part of an energised and highly motivated team.
  • Experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar Finance systems.
  • Experience using Power BI & Salesforce.
  • Be passionate for understanding what drives the business – both financial and non‑financial and a clear head for making decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building and able to work with people in‑side and outside finance.
