London (with occasional travel to Chatham)

We’re looking for a Finance Systems Manager to help shape how Finance works at Lloyd’s. This is your opportunity to improve the systems, data and processes that power one of the world’s most unique insurance marketplaces. You’ll focus on Workday Financials, making sure it works for our people — clearly, efficiently and with strong controls. And you’ll play a key role in modernising how we operate across Finance.

Why this role matters

At Lloyd’s, we bring together the world’s leading risk takers to advance global progress. Our Finance systems sit at the heart of that. This role helps us:

  • Deliver reliable, well‐controlled finance systems
  • Improve decision‐making through better data
  • Create simpler, more efficient ways of working
  • Get more value from our technology investments

What you’ll do

You’ll act as the bridge between Finance, technology and our partners. And you’ll turn challenges into clear, practical solutions.

Day to day, you will:

  • Own and support Workday Financials, ensuring users get timely, practical help
  • Manage incidents and service requests, keeping communication clear and focused
  • Work closely with Procurement, IT and external partners to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Support system changes, releases and enhancements from design through to delivery
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve data quality
  • Monitor system performance and user feedback to prioritise improvements
  • Strengthen controls, access management and governance across Finance systems
  • Create clear guidance and training to build user confidence

What you’ll bring

We’re less interested in perfect checklists. We’re more interested in how you think, solve problems, and work with others.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience supporting Workday Financials in a Finance environment
  • Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and data
  • A practical mindset — you can diagnose issues and find workable solutions
  • Confidence working across teams and explaining complex topics clearly
  • Experience managing system support, change and continuous improvement
  • A focus on users — you make systems easier to understand and use
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar), or equivalent experience

Diversity and inclusion are a focus for us – Lloyd’s aim is to build a diverse, inclusive environment that reflects the global markets we work in. One where everyone is treated with dignity and respect to achieve their full potential. In practice, this means we are positive and inclusive about making workplace adjustments, we offer regular health and wellbeing programmes, diversity and inclusion training, employee networks, mentoring and volunteering opportunities as well as investment into your professional development.

We understand that our work/life balance is important to us all and that a hybrid of working from the office and home can offer a great level of flexibility. Flexible working forms part of a total reward approach which offers a host of other benefits over and above the standard offering (generous pension, healthcare, wellbeing etc). These include financial support for training, education & development, a benefit allowance (to spend on our flexible benefits such as gym membership, dental insurance, extra holiday or to partake in our cycle to work scheme), employee recognition scheme and various employee discount schemes.

By choosing Lloyd's, you'll be part of a team that brings together the best minds in the industry, and together with our underwriters and brokers, we create innovative, responsive solutions allowing us to share risk and solve complex problems.
