We are recruiting internally for a Delivery Lead. You will lead delivery across the change portfolio, translating goals into executable, outcome based delivery plans and ensuring safe, predictable delivery through integrated planning, cross functional coordination, strong governance and disciplined delivery oversight.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Delivery: Lead successful delivery of a range of projects across the change portfolio, ensuring predictable and repeatable delivery of change to the business. Ensure delivery to time, cost and outcome, with responsibility for driving benefit realisation in conjunction with business sponsors.
  • Planning and execution: Translate strategic intent into outcome‐based delivery plans, defining clear milestones, schedules and dependencies aligned to the Change Delivery Framework, risk expectations and architectural standards.
  • Delivery coordination: Coordinate delivery across business, technology, operations and suppliers, establishing shared expectations and resolving cross‐team issues and conflicts to maintain predictable execution.
  • Risk, issue and dependency management: Manage portfolio‐level risks, issues and dependencies, maintaining forward visibility, ensuring mitigation ownership and escalating early to protect delivery confidence.
  • Release, change and implementation: Lead release, cutover and planning, service transition ensuring technical, operational and business teams are fully prepared, with controls, testing, fallback and hyper care clearly established.
  • Reporting and oversight: Provide timely, transparent and accurate delivery performance reporting, giving clear insight into progress, risks, dependencies and delivery confidence to governance forums.
  • Financial management: Manage delivery budgets, forecasts and cost controls, ensuring financial accuracy, cost transparency and alignment of internal and supplier capacity to priorities.
  • Supplier management: Orchestrate supplier delivery performance, ensuring consistent standards, accountability, integration into ways of working and effective issue resolution.
  • Benefit realisation: Drive successful realisation of benefits and outcomes, ensuring delivery remains aligned to intended value, escalating and resolving risks to benefit realisation and driving course‐correction as needed.
  • Governance and control: Ensure governance and compliance alignment, preparing high‐quality evidence and maintaining adherence to delivery standards, architecture, controls and organisational guardrails.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management: Build strong relationships across senior stakeholders, communicating clearly, resolving conflicts constructively and influencing decisions that protect stable, value‐led delivery.
  • Team contribution: Proactively support and drive successful delivery of all team objectives in line with strategic priorities, including contributing to project delivery activity where required and continuous improvement of Change processes and frameworks.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
  • Deep knowledge of Finance, Actuarial, HR, Legal & Risk within Financial Services Portfolio Management in a complex, high dependency, regulated environment.
  • Commercially astute and up to date with strategic industry issues, IT and Data Architecture and Design, Change Management and Delivery and extensive portfolio and project management experience, IT Application and Infrastructure management and Knowledge of cloud platforms and technologies.
  • Management of Transformation / Change Portfolio’s up to £30m annual investment.
  • Working collaboratively across multiparty teams and stakeholders to deliver high quality outputs.
  • Working in highly regulated industry, ideally within (re)Insurance.
  • Experienced in forming constructive partnerships and mutually beneficial solutions with third parties.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute and lead large scale transformation programmes.
  • Experience of implementing sustained process and culture change in a business environment.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring style with a proven ability to grow teams and develop people.
  • A creative thinker, able to deal with complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Adherence to agreed governance processes and procedures.
  • Track record of achieving high professional standards.
  • Experience leading teams in an agile setting with a track record in adopting new ways of working.
  • Demonstratable track record of successful delivery of transformation programmes.
