We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Warrington team. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will play a key part in keeping our equipment safe, reliable and available for our customers. You will be responsible for electrical fault‑finding, repairs and assembly across a wide range of industrial products, including power tools and lifting equipment, ensuring work is prioritised efficiently and completed to the highest standard.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities:

  • Carrying out electrical fault‑finding, repairs and testing on a range of hire equipment.
  • Working on equipment operating at 110 v and above.
  • Assembling, maintaining and preparing equipment to be safely returned to hire.
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed in line with company procedures and compliance standards.
  • Accurately completing service and repair documentation using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Supporting workshop efficiency by prioritising workload in line with operational requirements.
  • Maintaining excellent health and safety standards within the workshop.
  • Working closely with depot, engineering and operations teams to maximise equipment availability.
  • Delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Actively supporting Speedy’s ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver through safe, sustainable and responsible working practices.

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience working with 110 v phase and above, ideally within the hire industry or a similar engineering environment.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and quality of work.
  • A commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
