An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to support our strategic Amey account on a national basis. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing growth strategies across a key National Account, driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer engagement across all Speedy product categories and service lines.
Working closely with stakeholders across Infrastructure, Construction and Industrial sectors, you will develop long‑term partnerships, identify commercial opportunities and deliver innovative end‑to‑end solutions that support both customer objectives and Speedy’s long‑term strategic growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the Amey account
- Managing and growing a portfolio of national business opportunities across multiple product and service categories
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships up to board level
- Acting as a senior customer contact throughout investigation, development, implementation and operational delivery stages
- Leading customer engagement and supporting the implementation of new solutions
- Retaining and growing prior year revenue while supporting long‑term strategic positioning over a 3–5 year period
- Working collaboratively with internal departments to identify opportunities and support tenders, bids and proposals
- Supporting and overseeing pricing strategies for all opportunities relating to the account
- Developing and maintaining National Account Plans aligned to business objectives
- Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and customer information
- Supporting company marketing campaigns and wider commercial initiatives
- Identifying further opportunities to strengthen and expand the national partnership
What you’ll need:
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and delivering growth plans across major accounts
- Experience managing key accounts with a value exceeding £3m per annum
- Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at senior and board level
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Deep understanding of customer development and strategic account growth
- Dynamic and self‑motivated approach with the ability to adapt confidently in customer‑facing situations
- Experience leading, managing and developing individuals or teams
- Strong IT skills and ability to utilise CRM and reporting systems effectively
- Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
