The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00, 45 hours per week plus overtime.

On-call rota: 1-in-4.

Location: Warrington.

Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer with a strong mechanical background in diesel engines, fault diagnosis and repair? This role is field‑based, covering multiple sites within a defined patch and is ideal for someone commutable to the area.

What you’ll do:

  • Service, maintain and repair generators (20–1400 kVA) and compressors at customer sites.
  • Diagnose faults, replace parts and carry out effective mechanical repairs.
  • Work on fleet fitted with telematics; equipment is fully sync‑able using ComAp or Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) panels.
  • Attend breakdowns, complete planned maintenance and ensure first‑time fix where possible.
  • Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Always follow company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

What you’ll bring:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hands‑on experience in fault finding and repairs.
  • Experience servicing/repairing generators, compressors or similar plant/equipment.
  • Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office).
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to cover overtime and participate in the on‑call rota.
  • Commitment to supporting our ESG strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Pay, overtime & on‑call:

  • Overtime: paid at 1.5x, door‑to‑door.
  • On‑call rota: 1-in-4 with a COST standby allowance.
  • Call‑out payments: COST (Mon–Fri) and COST (Sat–Sun).
