Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider, offering the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job. We’re currently looking for a friendly and customer-focused Hire Desk Controller to join our team, based at our Haydock depot. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Be the heart of our operations and a key point of contact for customers, delivering outstanding service by building strong relationships and coordinating the entire hire process from enquiry through to delivery and collection.
- Work closely with colleagues across the depot (stock, transport, engineering) to ensure equipment is available, orders are fulfilled efficiently, and queries are resolved quickly and professionally.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- A genuine desire to learn and develop
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in the hire industry, or in a similar sales or operational role
- The ability to support your team in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
