We’re looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Hire and Sales Coordinator to join our Haydock depot. This role sits right at the heart of the business and is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, working in a fast‑paced environment and making a real difference to the customer experience.
Location: Haydock
You’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with enquiries, processing hire orders and ensuring everything runs smoothly from the initial call right through to delivery and collection. You’ll work closely with the transport, yard, stock and engineering teams to ensure equipment is available, compliant and ready when needed. Every day will be different, but your focus will always be on providing a great service, keeping things organised and supporting the commercial success of the depot.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing incoming customer enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Processing hire orders accurately and efficiently
- Coordinating deliveries and collections with the transport team
- Liaising with yard and engineering teams to ensure equipment is ready for hire
- Keeping systems updated with hire contracts, pricing, extensions and off‑hires
- Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their needs
- Identifying opportunities to upsell or add value where appropriate
- Handling queries and issues calmly and professionally
- Supporting the depot in achieving excellent customer service and commercial performance
What we’re looking for:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive and flexible approach in a busy environment
- A willingness to learn and develop
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in hire, sales, customer service or a similar operational role
