We are currently looking for a Category C Driver to join our busy Erith depot. This is a vital frontline role, supporting our customers by delivering and collecting hire equipment safely, efficiently, and on time. As a key face of the business, you will represent Speedy’s vision, values, and commitment to outstanding customer service, building strong relationships with customers in the local area.
As a Driver – Category C, you will play an important part in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive the equipment they need, when they need it.
Responsibilities- Delivering and collecting hire equipment across the local area
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and in line with procedures
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time
- Providing a professional, friendly, and helpful service to customers
- Completing delivery paperwork and system updates correctly
- Working closely with depot and transport teams to meet operational demands
- Supporting the delivery of Speedy’s ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
- A valid UK Category C driving licence
- Good knowledge of the local area
- Experience driving commercially within the UK
- A strong focus on customer service and professionalism
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
- A full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Upbeat, self-motivated, and dependable
- Friendly, approachable, and confident when dealing with customers
- Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in all weather conditions
