Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday–Friday - 07:30 to 17:00
Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job! As a PTS Workshop Operative, you will play a key supporting role across our logistics, transport, customer service, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, maintaining, and managing site lighting (MSL – Managed Site Lighting) on the track during night and weekend shifts
- Deliveries and collections
- Assisting with vehicle loading/unloading
- Testing and maintaining our equipment
- Stock control
You’ll also spend one day a week in the depot to support with operational tasks. This role is hands-on and varied, requiring adaptability, strong teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for colleagues and customers alike.
Requirements:
- Previous PTS Site Lighting experience desirable
- PTS Sentinel card for rail
- Driving licence
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills both verbally & written
- Able to adapt quickly to support others
- Commitment to learn and develop
