What you'll be doing:

  • You’ll lead the data management agenda for one of the largest mortgage data estates in Europe, playing a pivotal role in transforming how data is governed, managed and used to unlock real business value for customers.
  • Sitting within the Homes Platform, you’ll work at the intersection of technology, data and the mortgage business, providing clear leadership for platform data.
  • You’ll act as the key point of connection between the Homes Platform, central data teams and senior business partners, ensuring strong alignment to enterprise standards while shaping solutions that genuinely work for the business.
  • You’ll set and own a clear, actionable data strategy for the Homes Platform, building understanding and buy‑in across technology and business leaders.
  • You’ll be a visible leader, representing Homes into central data forums and influencing how enterprise data capabilities are shaped and adopted.
  • You’ll stay on top of data issues and risks across the platform, providing clarity, maintaining strong resolution plans and driving issues through to closure.
  • You’ll lead Data Side of Change activity, ensuring data impacts are identified early and quality is designed in before change lands.
  • You’ll tell a compelling data story, clearly articulating where the platform is on its data journey, what’s improving, and where focus is needed next.

Essential skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience leading data management and data utilisation practices within a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience bridging data, technology and business, translating data concepts into outcomes that matter to senior stakeholders.
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance frameworks, including compliance with central standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Proven experience prioritising data initiatives, managing risks and dependencies, and driving delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working with large, complex financial services or mortgage data estates.
  • Experience contributing to or leading data transformation programmes, including modern data platforms and cloud‑based data solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data management capabilities.
  • A demonstrated passion for improving data literacy and capability across teams, not just delivering data solutions.
