Job Description Summary
- To act as an SME, creating proposals to define and shape the Group’s Risk Management Framework and enable the Group to achieve its strategic ambition and purpose.
- To collaborate with colleagues across Risk and the wider Group to tackle problems and shape our Risk Management Framework and associated documents, ensuring that they remain fit for purpose and evolve in line with our strategy.
- Identify areas of improvement to drive efficiency.
- Support the planning and communication of initiatives and projects across the Operational Risk Frameworks Team.
- To build an empowered, diverse & inclusive team where colleagues love to work.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business and across the three lines of defence.
What we'd love you to have experience-wise
- Existing knowledge and experience of working in a risk or compliance team is important for this role.
- Building and nurturing relationships with internal colleagues across the Group.
- Developing innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.
- Experience of working closely with executives, producing documentation which puts risk and control at the heart of design.
- The ability to think through complex problems strategically, considering a broad number of views, and being able to articulate it back in a simple manner.
- A self-motivated desire to learn, with a natural curiosity and adaptable approach.
- Managing and delivering required outcomes to support the evolution of the Risk Management Framework.

- A proactive approach and willingness to (re)learn, helping identify how ways of working could transform interactions with other areas of the Group.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, able to absorb new information and critically evaluate a broad range of issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically whilst understanding the strategic big picture.
- Comfortable dealing with a range of different senior colleagues, sometimes independently, with the communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to a range of audiences, including exec level.
