Do you enjoy working at pace and identifying new and improved ways of doing things? Are you passionate about crafting ways to support customers in an increasingly difficult time with significant interest rate fluctuation, rising cost of living and increased regulation? Do you want to play a key role in influencing key stakeholders and contributing to broader strategic planning and business decision making by providing insight, judgement and thought leadership? If the answer is Yes, then we’d love to hear from you!
A bit about our team: At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers. What we do makes a genuine difference to families, businesses and communities, and we're playing a central role in building a growing UK economy.
The Homes Customer Development team is a high-profile team tasked with understanding the needs of customers, colleagues and brokers to develop new ways to help customers buy and move home, access equity and act more sustainably. We strive to support our Retail customers in delivering Mortgages lending growth and hitting our commitments to grow market share and lend £10bn on green mortgages, through developing effective customer propositions and lending criteria.
To succeed with our ambitions, we require a Homes Propositions Manager to help grow our Mortgages business who will continually identify ways to simplify and improve processes for customers and mortgage brokers. We work across multiple brands and shape the strategy for all of our channels which include Halifax, Lloyds, Birmingham Midshires and Scottish Widows Bank, supporting customers in both the direct and intermediary channels with new propositions and products.
So what does this role actually do?
- Shape propositions and new product offerings and support the strategic direction of the wider business
- Lead and develop medium term plans, taking into account the wider business, commercial, market, regulatory context and customer advocacy
- Engage senior stakeholders in order to influence key business decisions
- Influence business decisions, using insightful information to design and deliver customer focussed products which are clear and easy to use
- Proactively build and maintain commercial awareness
- Seek opportunities to champion change to deliver improved commercial and customer outcomes or mitigate risk for the benefit of customers
- Embed the LBG values and culture
What we’d love you to have experience wise:
- You bring thought leadership and deliver strategic and transformational change
- Unfazed with ambiguity; you apply structure and logic to build recommendations and solutions where none currently exist
- As a skilled relationship builder, you’re ready to engage, influence and challenge at all levels, from business SMEs to senior executives
- You’re an analytical problem solver; using business knowledge and experience to see commercial opportunities
- A Financial Services background is highly desirable, but not essential. A desire to apply and grow your technical and professional skills with us will be.
What we’d be keen to see in your work style:
This is an excellent opportunity if you want to help to shape the Group’s ambition to grow our Mortgages business and overall homes strategy development, enjoy solving hugely variable and exciting topics, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a motivated, collaborative and dynamic team.
