Who we're looking for: We're looking for someone to help bring our digital experiences to life. You'll do this by communicating visually and engaging with customers through storytelling. We're looking for someone in the early stages of their career, with around four years of experience, who can demonstrate their skills through a strong portfolio.

About the Role: We're looking for a Visual Designer to work within our Experience Design team of designers, researchers and strategists. You'll help identify and solve real customer problems and ensure that we put human needs at the heart of every problem we solve.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create engaging digital experiences
  • Apply your creative thinking to solve complex problems and make them seem simple
  • Make seemingly mundane things interesting and exciting
  • Create engaging digital experiences, design interfaces for web and mobile applications

  • Bring your designs and presentations to life with prototyping software (Figma is our main tool, experience is required) as well as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Acrobat.

Why join us? From building a truly sustainable business to creating a place where people love to work, we're looking for colleagues who are up for the challenge, who love to push boundaries and can make change happen.

What we're looking for:

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Experience in solving visual design challenges
  • Experience working with and contributing to a digital design system
  • Actively experimenting with design using AI tools to design and prototype ideas rapidly
  • Tons of energy and enthusiasm to bring visual design to where it's needed

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you: Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we're committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative. We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long‑term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme. We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.

Benefits:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance‑related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 28 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top
