About this role

We’re delighted to be recruiting for multiple Technology Platform Leader (TPL) roles to lead platforms across Consumer CIO.

As a Technology Platform Lead (TPL), you’ll be accountable for the technology strategy, engineering delivery, resilience and operational performance of a critical business platform.

Working in a true "two-in-a-box" partnership with a Business Lead, you’ll have joint accountability for the delivery of the platform.

The business lead defines the platform's priorities and outcomes, while the TPL leads how those outcomes are delivered through technology, jointly ensuring successful customer, colleague and business outcomes.

You’ll lead large engineering teams, drive platform modernisation, and ensure services remain secure, resilient and scalable.

You’ll balance strategic technology investment with operational excellence, creating an environment where teams can innovate, deliver at pace and continuously improve.

Our platforms

The Core Banking Platform is responsible for some of the organisation’s most critical banking systems and services.

It ensures customers can access and manage their accounts reliably every day, while modernising the underlying technology estate and migrating from legacy systems to next-generation core banking capabilities.

The platform balances the safe operation of existing services with implementing long-term transformation that will make banking simpler, faster and more flexible for customers and colleagues.

The Segments & Propositions Platform creates and delivers tailored customer propositions, digital experiences and journeys that help attract, retain and deepen customer relationships.

The platform combines customer insight, technology and innovation to support customers through key life stages, helping them achieve financial goals, grow their wealth and access relevant products and services through personalised, market-leading digital experiences.

The Consumer Deposits platform is designed to create, deliver, and maintain our personal current account (PCA) and savings products that meet everyday customer needs.

It defines core product structures, features, eligibility, and customer terms, ensuring product integrity, regulatory compliance, and fair outcomes.

The platform drives product change and simplification, manages external suppliers, and sets requirements for future architecture.

It focuses on winning new customer relationships through seamless onboarding, deepening and retaining existing relationships, enabling responsible access to short-term credit, and supporting strategic growth and performance.

Ultimately, the platform aims to provide secure, scalable, and innovative deposit solutions that help customers build financial stability and resilience while supporting the bank’s long-term strategic vision.
