About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join our Credit Cards Product Development team. You'll be accountable for the instalments product line on credit cards, and a catalyst to the overarching cards product strategy. You'll partner with our Platform and Engineering teams, Embedded Finance, and other Credit Card product teams to deliver the core borrowing product strategy, and Customer Propositions team to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and objectives. The Credit Card business is looking to transform and is entering an exciting new partnership phase with Visa, so there couldn't be a better time to join us!
Your accountabilities will include:
- Own and drive the product strategy for Instalments on cards and other core borrowing features. Responsible for the instalment plans P&L on credit cards.
- Develop instalments participation strategy and product construct, bearing in mind commercial, customer and conduct outcomes.
- Deliver instalment plan capability and roll out across the credit cards customer base, partnering with Labs and other areas of the bank, alongside technology providers.
- Work closely with Engagement and Retention team to define pricing and segmentation strategy for test-and-learn post launch, and scale instalments, delivering good commercial and customer outcomes.
- Work with partners across the business to ensure proposition is fully aligned to risk appetite, policy and Consumer Duty, whilst maintaining competitive edge.
- Provide thought leadership to drive innovation and customer-centric propositions, considering industry and economic information, market intelligence, customer/sector behaviour, emerging technology and regulatory requirements.
Essential skills and experience required:
- Product SME: Deep understanding of credit card or instalment product construct, including aspects such as payment allocation and minimum due calculations.
- Problem solving and strategic thinking: Bringing a creative and credible approach to new or existing problems.
- Customer Centricity: Promoting the value of customer outcomes with team and peers.
- Analytical skills: Able to access, interpret and use data and information.
- Stakeholder Management: Managing internal and external stakeholders, quickly establishing credibility and fostering trust and ongoing collaboration.
- Leadership & Culture: Champion a growth mindset and able to work in an agile way, maintaining focus on delivering in a world of competing priorities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal presentation skills; confidently able to present at multiple levels.
- Policy design: Experience of developing policies for implementation.
