About the role
We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively with a full design team, take full ownership of their design output and confidently present work to internal customers. Adapt designs to reflect feedback from user research and usability testing, and balance business requirements with user needs.
Responsibilities
- Skillfully craft end‑to‑end user experiences, using a central design system to balance content and UI elements.
- Bring designs to life with prototyping software such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Axure or Adobe XD.
- Balance business requirements with user needs; gather user research and rationale to align collaborators and push back when needed.
- Adapt to technical constraints across platforms while guiding the best possible end‑user experience.
- Advocate customer inclusion by creating inclusive and accessible designs for users of all ages, backgrounds and technical abilities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in User‑Experience Design / Interaction Design.
- Strong experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer (or visual design background).
- Full ownership of Interaction Design projects.
- Excellent prototyping and layout skills; able to articulate clearly to internal customers and developers.
- Comfortable using existing design systems, proactively recommending improvements and extensions.
- Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative research to inform the design process.
- Experience in a complex landscape – preferably financial services.
- Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary team.
- Strong ability to see designs through to delivery; communicate with developers to ensure specifications are met.
- Strong advocacy of customer inclusivity and accessibility.
